Eze

After class today, we went on a tour of Eze, a village high on a hill overlooking the coast. There, we climbed to see a spectacular view, and then we visited the Fragonard Parfumerie. The climb is up a narrow pedestrian "street." There are shops along the route that are built inside little caves, once used to shelter the sheep from the rain. Apparently, a long time ago, it was mostly shepherds on the mountain. There are so many more pictures, but since the internet is soooo slow here, I can't post them all. However, you can see that I'm in style in my blue and white stripes. Most exciting is the picture of the orange haired lady, named Margarita. For realz. Tomorrow we hope to spend the day at the beach. We were there tonight to people watch again. That was particularly fun as we saw some crazies. Then we went to a cafe and had ice cream and coffee.

We are all enjoying the food here of course. Today we all had a crepe, but I am going to encourage them to try a salade nicoise before we go. And a sako-I think that's what it's called. It's a traditional Nice dish as well made with mashed up chickpeas. I'm not sure how tasty that's going to be. We may have to stick with the pastries and crepes.

Looks beautiful there! I'm glad you are having so much fun and visiting all these interesting places. After seeing these pictures, I may have to reconsider highlighting my hair blonde and may need to go RED!

  2. The only person more intriguing than Margarita and her orange hair is of course the French girl in sunglasses dressed in the fashionably current blue stipe on white top. Remarkably she looks a bit like you, Shay! And, she has that Mediterranean attitude!!! Great photos. Is the oil there yet? It should be there soon given how much is actually leaking!
